The Millennial Pine, a Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris), once grew majestically in the Wolfhezer forests near Wolfheze. On May 28, 2006, this iconic tree fell, estimated to be 400 years old at the time. Despite a hollow trunk and a circumference of 430 centimeters, the tree showed no signs of disease. With a height of about 22 meters, it belonged to the imposing appearances. With an estimated germination around 1600, the Millennial Pine was one of the oldest trees in the Netherlands.
