Sitting atop the highest part of Shrewsbury's centre, St Alkmund's is a Medieval church rebuilt by the Georgians, who gave it a magnificent and very large stained glass chancel window, and wrought iron window tracery. The Bear Steps, St Julian's, and a myriad of other historic attractive highlights are close by.
