The Osser is also easy to climb in winter. You do need a lot of stamina and waterproof shoes for the last kilometer, as the hiking trail is rather steep in deep snow, but reaching the Osser is worth the effort.
There is no panoramic view, but you can find a comfortable place to rest and have a beautiful view of the Rote Wand, the Rennfeld and the Hochlantsch. You can also see the Hochschwab massif behind the Rennfeld.

The Osser is a mountain peak in the Alpenland Nature Park at 1,548 metres above sea level. In contrast to the peaks around it, it is less visited. The summit cross is a nice place to rest.
