Areni bird cave with excavations. You can see remnants of wine processing from approx. 3000 years and remnants of old grapevines with an approximate age of approx. 6000 years.

Archaologists from Europe and Armenia have uncovered 6,000 year-old winemaking artifacts in this cave complex, still an active archaeological site but partly open to the public. It's well equipped with lighting and information boards so you can make sense of what you see.
