Vallefiorita Città dell Olio
In Vallefiorita, a hill closes the right side of the road and is the kingdom of the olive tree, the left is instead dominated by a wide valley that goes up to the mountain. Vallefiorita, is a city of the pre-greenhouses of Catanzaro, whose name was suggested by the topographical position it occupies, but also for "the amenity of its places and for the flowers that grow there in abundance". The village is located at 322 m above sea level with an area of 13.83 square kilometers and is only 11 km from the Gulf of Squillace. The particularly favorable climate, combined with the hilly exposure of the territory and the experience of the producers, offer the predominant diversity of the Carolingian olive tree, all those optimal conditions that give our olive oil an intense and decisive taste.
