Excerpt from our Arduenna Experience:
"We carefully approach the empty Devil's Bed. Rolf reassures us and tells the interesting legend of the Devil's Bed. Captivated by sagas, myths and legends, we quickly reach a higher level. On the short but tough climb to the white menhir, we feel 'Pierre Haina' we are in our legs that we are treading holy ground or our lactic acid has gone into the red.
On trembling legs we listen to Midsummer Night stories and the petrification of the primal ancestor 'Pierre Haina'. The white menhir was whitewashed twice a year by our forefathers before the advent of imposed Christianity. This made the Pierre Haina an important sighting point in the valley. The white menhir was and is the centerpiece of the pagan megalithic system. Before we leave this legendary place, we quickly make a silent wish at the mythical 'Wish Tree'.
In the company of imaginary fairies we walk on clouds through the hedged landscape along the Dolmen of Wéris and d'Oppange. Here we get to hear fascinating stories about the soul hole and the 29 human sacrifices buried here."
