First part of the E5 of the crossing of the Alps. From Oberstdorf to Spielmannsau there are almost 200 meters in altitude that you hardly notice on the paved road. The actual hiking trail starts shortly after Spielmannsau. Through various zones (trees - bushes) later gravel and the last part along a length of rock face along a deep gorge. No fear of heights and sure-footedness must be observed in any case. Appropriate footwear. Some of the walls are rope insured. But in itself it is not wild

Beautiful path through the Sperrbachtobel up to the Kemptner Hütte. There is a lot of activity at the hut as it offers the first overnight stay for the E5 Alpine crossing.
