The building was inherited from the Canale family, who lived there until 1905.
Prof. Mario Truglia states: "It occupies an area of 760 square meters; it measures 38 m in length and 20 m in width. There are five large warehouses on the ground floor on the northwest side; three rooms on the north side on the first floor and three rooms on the west side. The second floor consists of ten rooms, the floor of some of them is smooth concrete, with engraved drawings depicting squares and rectangles; the other rooms are made of terracotta bricks The ceiling is painted with a white background and figures of women of the time are drawn in the middle. The balconies are made of wrought iron. The cornice is made of stone and the coat of arms at the entrance of the building shows a tulip, "the favorite flower of noble families.
The palace rests on the rock and has no foundation; The roof is tiled in the antique style while the cornice is made of zigzag carved stone.
The doors were made of chestnut wood, made by Amaronesian workers, painted black and showed gendarmes at war.
