The town tower, built in the 14th century, was once part of the former city fortifications of Lindenfels. Today it serves as the observation tower and exhibition room of the neighboring kite museum.
The round tower, which was originally provided with a spire, was partially demolished in the 18th century and renovated in several phases until the 1960s. It is built from graphite blocks and has 2 meter thick outer walls. Including the glass pyramid, the citizen tower is 23 meters high.

Please do not let children go up there unsupervised. A piece of the missing railing which has been replaced by a few slats makes it seem a little unsafe. Urgent action is needed here!!!!!!!!!
