As an alternative to the via ferrata, there is a mountain path north of this that leads directly to the summit. The via ferrata itself is less spectacular as you almost only move over exposed ladders.

If you don't like walking where everyone else is, start directly in Riva and first walk along the Ponale until you see a sign on the right towards Cima Capi. There it goes up very steeply in places until you meet the others, who all start from the Ledro Valley (Biacesa). Once you get to the top, you don't do the usual Ferrata circuit to Cima Rocca, but traverse the wall below, also with safety, to descend further north to Riva.
View of Lake Garda guaranteed practically all day long.
