The rushing Cheakamus River plunges down a small step here. Very impressive! Because of the proximity to the Whistler Train Wrecks, the waterfall is also called Train Wreck Falls. The former route lead along the falls. Today you can take the suspension bridge which leads directly to the train wrecks.

This is a nice spot to take a picture of Cheakamus Falls and there is also enough space to sit down and take a breath next to the rushing waters. However, if you follow the trail, you can get much closer to the falls.

The 'Cheakamus Falls' or also called 'Train Wreck Falls' are near the 'Train Wrecks'. Before the pedestrian suspension bridge was built across the Cheakamus River, visitors to the Wrecks walked past the falls. Today they are a bit off the beaten path and hidden on the MTB 'Trash Trail'.
