Church of Our Lady of Help, Siusi/South Tyrol☀️🚶‍♂️⛰️💯
The old parish church of Siusi allo Sciliar, dating back to the 17th century, is still a popular pilgrimage destination. In the 17th century, more precisely in 1648, a Baroque church was built in the village center of Siusi, which first served as a branch church, then as a pilgrimage church, and finally as the parish church of Siusi. The bell tower, with its thin, red roof tiles, round-arched twin windows, and four gargoyles, still recalls the Gothic style. The small church was consecrated to the "Mother of Perpetual Help" in 1657.

14 Stations of the Cross depict the Passion of Christ – the Arma Christi, the instruments of the Passion, are attached to their frames. It is said that the altar and a bell of the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians originated from the chapel of the Salegg Castle ruins, located in the Hauenstein Forest near Siusi. After a road opened up the Seiser Alm area in the 19th century and the population grew, the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians was replaced in 1937 by the new parish church of the Holy Cross.

At the end of the 20th century, the small Church of Our Lady Help of Christians was restored and equipped with an organ by an Italian instrument maker. Then as now, it is a popular pilgrimage site, especially in May, where Marian devotions are held. 🚶‍♂️💯
