This old barrage is very interesting to explore. In some places you shouldn't be afraid of heights. It is possible to go into the inside of the dam and look at the old overflows into the valley. The view is sensational if you are not afraid of heights. One of the best lost places in Lanzarote. You can walk up a narrow path directly below the barrage or drive up the mountain and explore everything.

The dam has been secured against trespassing by a new fence. Crossing the dam is no longer possible. Alternatively, you can walk around the tiny reservoir to get to the other side.

Everything is still accessible. Both the inside of the dam and on top of the dam. The gate is open on one side, so you have the opportunity to walk on the wall.
