    The promontory of Capo Pecora, in the splendid Costa Verde, is a secluded, intact and fascinating place. Its granite outcrop emerges on a coast dominated by limestone rocks: the pink of the granite contrasts with the turquoise of the sea and the green of the Mediterranean scrub. Cliffs overlooking the sea, shaped by the wind, delimit it, surrounding small pebble beaches smoothed by the incessant action of the sea. In these coves, the rocks take on particular shapes, with one of them known as "dinosaur egg beach".

      At Capo Pecora you can park your car and from here hike to Costa Verde, to Scibo Beach, in 2 hours.
      This is easy in sturdy sneakers. Wonderful views from the peak and great anticipation of the beach. We didn't meet anyone on the way there or back, we plunged naked into the sea and enjoyed it very much, there was no one there except us.
      There is a small beach bar further north with loungers and umbrellas, where all those who arrived by car hang out.
      But it wasn't really busy, everything was very relaxed.
      In any case, the hike is highly recommended, the swim in the sea is really well deserved.

        Capo Pecora is recognised by the SIC (Site of Community Importance) and is located on the extreme south side of Cape Verde. The beach is characterised by its light, coarse sand and its steep cliffs that slope into the sea. The beach is rarely visited, except perhaps in the summer months. It is a great place to relax in unspoilt nature. The clear water, the golden cliffs and the Mediterranean flora are unforgettable.

              The Capo Pecora is a small promontory. Wild, windy and rarely visited it greeted us in October. The rocks are particularly impressive. There is also a coarse-grained sandy beach. The top of Capo Pecoras can be easily reached from the car park, which is also suitable for motorhomes. From here a hike to the Spiaggia delle Uova di Dinosaurio = dinosaur egg beach with its large egg-shaped stones is worthwhile.
