Within sight of the Kröpelin Gate is a life-size bronze sculpture of a woman who thoughtfully rests her head on her arms.
The sculptor and painter Siegfried Krepp (1930-2013) created the “Sinnende” in 1979.
Krepp's most important works also include the relief stele for the monument to German anti-fascist Spanish fighters in the Volkspark Friedrichshain (1966–1969), the relief design on the south portal of the Berlin Cathedral (1978–1984, installed in 1992) and the Meister Eckhart Memorial on the Erfurt Preacher Church (1991 –1998).

The Minder is a statue of a woman seated with her head on her knees. Interesting presentation. There are several sculptures and works of art in a small space, all close to the historical monument Kröpeliner Tor.
