Perfect on a hot day, comfortably shady through the forest, little-used road, good asphalt and good incline for racing bike training and there is a cozy restaurant to sit outside on. With e-bike charging station, who needs :)

Anyone who would like to eat altitude in Zurich's surroundings on a racing bike and already knows Albispass and Buchenegg should take the track from Finstersee to Gottschalkenberg / Raten. It goes on a lonely forest road up to almost 1200m high. Directions to e.g. via Veloroute 32 to Hirzel, then continue towards Schönenberg. Return via Oberägeri, Neuheim and through the Sihltal back to Zurich.
