Very beautiful and lovingly maintained chapel of the Mother of God. This pretty chapel of the Mother of God was built in 1999 on the initiative of some Mirfeld citizens. In the immediate vicinity is a bluestone cross commemorating Nicolaus Krings, who tragically died here 80 years before the chapel was built. After returning home from the First World War as the only son of the family, he had an accident with a team of oxen and was run over by the fully loaded wagon. Source: information board on site
