The Romanesque church of Ampleben was built around 1200. It has a checkered history. Initially under the patronage of von Uetzen, this was passed on to Duke Heinrich Julius in 1423, who passed it on to the respective castle owner as a ducal fiefdom ... everything can be read on the wooden plaque in front of this impressive church.

The village church Ampleben is a Protestant, listed church in Ampleben.
The nave with vestibule and the indented square chancel were built around 1200 in late Romanesque style. The walls have groups of round windows and round arches. In contrast to many other late Romanesque village churches, which appear narrow and pressed, the building makes a free and high impression.
Similar to other churches in the area, an outside staircase leads to a gallery inside the tower. The tower is equipped with numerous sound openings.
