In the center of the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel is the town hall tower of the former town hall of the city. Built in 1618, the building was destroyed in 1895 during a major fire. Only the town hall tower was preserved.

Here is also the tourist information and the tower can be climbed. So you can see the city from above.
