The oppressive World War I memorial is located in the middle of the forest and is always accessible. You can walk along the trenches and get a good impression of how the soldiers fought and lived there.
Better only visit in daylight. There is no artificial lighting.
Good display boards also in German.
Sturdy shoes required.
