The Schouwsmolen is also called the Mill of Thorn. A water mill was built on this site in 1630, and the mill was enlarged in 1830. The mill was only restored in 2015 and is running again.

A beautifully located watermill on the Itterbach. The oldest parts of the building date back to 1630.
In 2015, the restoration of the Schouwsmühle began. After work on the masonry and roof, the missing mill wheel was installed in July 2015; In August, the blades were supplemented. Later in October, the restored mill was first visited and in December 2015, a generator was put into operation. The official opening took place on Sunday, April 30, 2016.

"...We follow the meandering Itterbeek and walk again across meadows and fields. We pass the Schouwsmolen from the 16th century. The mill has been restored and can be visited every 3rd Sunday of the month from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m . It is then actually in operation and grinds grain and generates electricity..."
