The CAI 919b path is a HIKING path that connects the highest part of the locality "Le Crocette" with the opposite side of Mount Valletonda, from which you can continue to climb or descend towards the Castello delle Querce.
The route is truly impressive: while walking, looking to the left, you always enjoy an excellent panoramic view of the plain of Fondi and the surrounding mountains; the entrance to the path, wide and made up of gravel and small underground rocks, with its cypresses on the side, offers a magnificent photographic point.
The trail continues passing through wider, rocky and dry stretches and others that are more covered, earthy and humid, due to the perennial shade of the surrounding trees.
N.B. As mentioned, the route continues for hikers along the entire side of the mountain, but for mountain bikers it stops shortly after the last Pic-Nic area. There the path tends to tighten a lot, with passages of just a few centimeters due to small landslides or lateral collapses. Loose rocks are a serious sliding problem as there is no way to avoid them in many places. In addition, the sides of the trail are not protected, and they drop sheer even for several meters. I therefore recommend, in case you intend to complete the route, to prepare to have to carry the bike by hand even for a long time.
