    After 17 years there is a new, very nice tenant at the hut.
    There is a dish of the day, excellent snacks and pastries.

      The Rinnerhütte lies in the Dead Mountains and can be reached in a two-and-a-half hour hike from Offensee. This trail can also be hiked well with children, but then you should plan for about four hours for the climb. The cottage is particularly family friendly and the surrounding nature is a real paradise for young and old explorers.

      The hut is open from early June to mid-September, depending on the weather, it is already open in May and in October at weekends. More information at wander-bar.at/die-basis.

        Great hut, purely optically a treat. Dogs as far as allowed, but register in advance if you wish to stay overnight. AND: there is also a covered sleeping space for the four-legged friends - only provided that the dog can stay alone
