The statue of the Buddha had black stains that required repainting because the cloth that was used to cover it stuck to the plaster after a long period of neglect. When the cloth was removed, it came loose and left black stains on the plaster.
Since then, an order has been issued prohibiting the covering of the statue with cloth for more than 7 days.
