After a friendly welcome and a small entrance fee of 33 rand per person, we could climb the 71 steep steps to the beacon in addition to visiting the museum. Nothing for the faint of heart! Because the steps are actually steep and in the end only a ladder leads through a narrow hole in the floor to the platform outside. And here it is quite high, you should be somewhat vertigo-free. The very brave go one floor up and look the beacon directly into the glass eye. In any case, from here you have a fantastic overview of the absolute end of Africa, you can see the southernmost point and on the other hand you get a great view of the small town of Cape Agulhas.
The museum itself is interesting for nautical fans and also contains a small exhibition about pollution of the sea.
71 steps that are worth it ... great view ...
Then you should go to the southernmost point of Africa.

Very worth seeing lighthouse at Cape Agulhas. The stairs up are narrow and steep and you should be free of heights for the panoramic balcony. The view over the town and the wonderful coast is worth it! Inside the lighthouse there are interesting exhibits on the history of the tower.
