Passo della Collina, also known as Passo della Porretta, is an Apennine pass of notable historical importance. It is located at an altitude of 932 meters above sea level, straddling the valleys of the Limentra di Sambuca, a tributary of the Reno river, and the Ombrone Pistoiese basin, a tributary of the Arno river.
It is said that during the Second Punic War Hannibal also passed through here, together with his famous elephants, before the Battle of Trasimeno, in 217 BC.
