A first church in Schwarzkollm was built in the 12th or 13th century in the Gothic style. In the course of time it underwent several alterations until it was destroyed by fire in 1858. In the following two years, the reconstruction took place in the classical style. The church is a plastered building made of quarry stone with pilaster strips and a semicircular apse. The nave has a gable roof and segment-arched windows. The tower is rectangular with an octagonal tower and pointed helmet.

In the interior, the church has a flat roof. The furnishings come from the time of the reconstruction in 1860. The altar was redesigned with older wooden sculptures from the 15th and 18th centuries. The organ was built in 1907 by the company Schlag & Söhne.
