Located at the transition between fields and riverside vegetation, the shelter is ideally situated for observing many 🐦 species. Unfortunately, a parking lot and the access to the canoe launch are located next to it.

The hike can start here. On the one hand, the vantage point offers a wonderful first view of part of the Main loop, and on the other hand there are some information boards on the renaturation project.
