On the first hills behind the New Hospital, a villa with a very unique past stands, now in ruins.

Ancient hunting lodge from the 1700s which, although ruined by time, still retained a beautiful frescoed hall and a large baroque staircase with two flights.
It was purchased in 1934 by the Muggia family, and by them entrusted for the restoration to the young Milanese architect Piero Bottoni, the future great exponent of rationalist architecture of the twentieth century. Preserved in the project the most valuable parts of the villa, the architect wanted to replace the irrecoverable areas with daring and spectacular solutions in order to harmoniously combine the new with the old, managing to create a refined and amazing work even in the details of the furniture indoor.

The abandonment and the devastation of the war have canceled most of the work; however, part of the external structure and the dining table, a single cast of cement and marble grit with futuristic shapes, remain as evidence of the past splendor. The villa cannot be visited.
