Head, arms and shaft straight, rounded in outline, arms short. On the south side in the intersection and reaching to the shaft, scratched a taut crossbow, only faintly recognizable.
The cross is already registered in 1595 on the Ur-Oeder survey as "am Ada Creutz". Until the forest fire in 1948 it stood about 10m further north and was put in its current location by forester Hans Dobrowohl. The old orientation is not known.

There are two different stories about it.
around 200 the murdered virgin Beate...
or at the end of the 19th century a nun from Nimbschen...
I would guess the second one, the cross looks older 🤷
