A 100-year monitoring of Lake Trasimeno reveals cyclical periods of dryness (about 20 years) and flooding (about 5 years). Therefore, to a small extent the cyclical nature of climate change and to a large extent the industrial revolutions have brought about the end of a trade and traditions linked to a truly clean form of energy.
