The Haussee, also known as Löhmer Haussee, is a 44-hectare lake in the Brandenburg city of Werneuchen, a few kilometers northeast of Berlin. It is located in the Barnimer Feldmark Regional Park.
The lake is located between the districts of Löhme on the north bank and Seefeld on the south bank. The approximate extent in north-south direction is 560 meters, in east-west direction 1.9 kilometers. The lake is between 3 and 6 meters deep. In the western part there is a 20 hectare shallow water zone. The lake is fed by rainwater alone. The height of its water level is therefore subject to seasonal fluctuations of up to 50 cm. Running water gets into the Erpe via the Krummensee Haussee and the Krummen See.
The Haussee has a fenced lawn on the east side, several small beaches on the Löhmer side and a bathing area in Seefeld. [3] In the summers of 2018 to 2020 there was increased pollution of the lake water by blue-green algae. An approx. 5 km long circular route is designated as a nature trail. There are information boards that provide information about the peculiarities of the flora and fauna.
