Julianadorp is a place in the municipality of Den Helder. The place is in the province of Noord-Holland, about 5 kilometers south of Den Helder. Julianadorp borders the municipality of Zijpe in the south and Anna Paulowna in the east.

Julianadorp is not a very old place. In principle, the place goes back to the foundation of P. Loopuyt in 1909. A real village quickly grew up around the church he founded. The original core of Julianadorp is still called Loopuytpark today.

The then Crown Princess Juliana was born in 1909. That's why Loopuyt asked the royal family whether the place could be named after Juliana. The approval came relatively quickly and this is how the place got its name. Interestingly, the place name was changed to Loopuytdorp by the German occupiers during World War II. Julianadorp is best known for Julianadorp aan Zee. The place is one of the well-known seaside resorts in the Netherlands, although strictly speaking the area near the sea is called Julianadorp aan Zee. The place receives around 900,000 overnight stays every year. Most of the guests come from Germany and come mainly in summer. Many residents make a living from tourism. The most important industries, however, are flower bulb farming, the employer Dutch Navy and the businesses in the Randstad.

The infrastructure in town is quite good. There are three shopping centers: Loopuytpark, De Riepel and Dorper Weerth. In addition to the De Piramide swimming pool, there are a few sports facilities such as the Julianadorp sports park, the “Het Trefpunt” sports hall and the “Sport aan zee” sports hall.
