The Jesuit Court in Ladenburg is an old noble residence with a Gothic pointed arch double portal. It was built around 1200 and was originally owned by a bishop. Jesuits lived here for only 30 years.

Because Johann Ludwig von Bettendorf owned the property for a time, this court is also called the Bettendorf Court.

The oldest part of the estate dates back to around 1200. It was originally owned by the bishop, who granted it to ministerials as a fief. It was first documented in 1339. It came into the possession of the Lords of Bettendorf in the mid-17th century, was owned by the aristocratic women's convent of Pforzheim in 1736, and was sold to the Jesuits in Mannheim in 1740 (until 1774). Apartments have been constructed since 1855. As one of Ladenburg's great aristocratic estates dating back to the High Middle Ages, the Jesuit estate has great documentary value for the development of the town. The area of the town's expansion around 1200 was much more extensive and sparsely populated than Carolingian Ladenburg. A not inconsiderable portion of the newly walled district was occupied by large aristocratic estates owned by ministerials of the Bishops of Worms. Later renovated and rebuilt, the noble estates still bear witness to the social rank and wealth of their former owners.
