Probably one of the most beautiful mountain valleys in Corsica. There are always new views of the Lac de Melo and the Lac de Capitellu. Overall, the path is easy to walk, but surefootedness is required. Only at the Breche de Capitellu is there more climbing.

This stage of the GR20 is superb. The whole crossing is done on the side of the ridge, with rocky spurs above our heads and the lakes below, accompanied by the choughs doing acrobatics in the wind. It can be impressive but is not dangerous if you are sure-footed. Be careful out of season, there are many snowfields and snowy passages, crampons and an ice ax are recommended.
