Every year, around the middle of June, the summer solstice is celebrated in some regions of the Alps, including Bavaria and specifically here at the Wallberg, where the celebration is called "Johannifeuer". My personal advice: walk up the mountain in the late afternoon, have a nice meal with view at the top restaurant (or bring food with you), wait for the darkness and then enjoy the fire. You can then go back down with the cable car that for the occasion is running until midnight. Also: great view at night of the Tegernsee.
