At 2,501.9 m above sea level, the Säntis is the highest mountain in the Alpstein range (Eastern Switzerland). Due to its exposed, northern location, the Alpstein is a landmark visible from afar. For example, there are houses in the Black Forest and on the Swabian Alb bearing the name Säntisblick. The Säntis summit offers views of six countries: Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy, and France.
