The building was erected between 1898 and 1902 as part of the historic Beelitz Heilstätten. In 1999 it was saved from demolition by the owner Thomas Schielicke and extensively renovated. Today the hotel is a listed building.

On the European Cycle Route R1 there are no direct opportunities for a break in beautiful surroundings in this area. In the restaurant garden of the hotel you can sit very nicely, have a drink or small dishes as well as delicious cakes and relax a little.
The short detour is worthwhile for those who do not only want to drink or eat water and muesli bars on the tour. :-)
