The Beast believers were of course not forced to attend the service in Lage, but the church tax had to be paid in Lage. The church in Lage was also not big enough to accommodate all the faithful, especially since the banks were leased.
A violent disaffection arose during the renovation of the church in Lage in 1904, when the old Biester gallery was removed and the organ was placed on the new gallery. The long-standing desire to have one's own house of worship took on concrete form in 1919.
In May 1926 the chapel was judged, in November 1926 it was finished and was appointed by Dean Dr. Peoples from Osterkappeln checked. On February 2, 1927, on the feast of Maria Candlemas, the chapel was quietly inaugurated by Messrs. Pastors Grote and Sieverding.
