Historical Malga della Lessinia, Rifugio Lausen (which in Cimbrian means "House of the oxen") has been renovated respecting its ancient origins by the Guzzo family and since November 2017 it has been managed by the mountain guide Danny Zampiccoli.
The Refuge, located at 1220 meters, is an enchanting place a few kilometers north of Velo Veronese, where the view sweeps from the Po Valley to the Apennines; to the east, beyond the Euganean hills, it is not uncommon to be able to see Venice and behind it, Mount Carega dominates with its 2,259 meters high.
It can be reached by car, but there are numerous walks that lead to the Lausen passing through the Valley of the Sphinxes or starting from Giazza or pedaling on paths suitable for mountain biking.
The cuisine, simple and genuine, offers Trentino dishes and traditional Lessinia dishes. The refuge has 22 beds, a dormitory for 10 people and 6 double bedrooms. The rooms are all with private bathroom and independent heating. Environment suitable for spending a few days in peace, both to host events, both for evenings with friends and for ceremonies.
The refuge is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the winter season and every day in the summer season.
