𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐡 - "𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐦ü𝐡𝐥𝐞"
At the beginning of the 1920s, the quarry was leased to the construction company Josef Schahn in Baumholder, which then in 1923 built a house for their demolition engineer as a service building on the hillside of the Mühlenberg. Apparently, after a few years, this house had lost its significance for the Schahn company, because the municipality of Ronnenberg took it over as early as 1928 and used it as a forest service farm. The building probably got its name “Forsthaus Hennemühle” (Hennemühle because it was close by) from this use. The quarry was taken over by the Bundeswehr in the 1960s and has been operated by them ever since. For many years, the "Forsthaus Hennemühle" served as an apartment for the family of the retired field commander, Colonel a.D. Ernst Baumgart. After he moved to Offenbach am Glan, the house was demolished in 1960. Source: text information board
