The tiny hamlet of Santa Maria lies on the Sentiero del Barolo and just under two kilometers below La Morra. The small church, which was mentioned around 1200 and was rebuilt in its current form in the 19th century, is worth seeing.

Directly below the church is the Osteria del Vignaiolo. Here you will find a large selection of wines from the region - of course also the famous Barolo - and you can treat yourself to a super good and affordable tasting menu (osteriadelvignaiolo.it/).

One of the Barolo winemakers has also lived in the town since 1878. But Oddero not only has excellent wines, the grappes are also a temptation. You can taste them in the cantina (oddero.it/it/).
