The water of this "healing well", which is now only a few steps east of the parish, attracted many pilgrims for a long time. The spring rises directly under the altar of the church and is led into a fountain chapel.
It was once assumed that this well had formed a pool and derived from it the name Maria at the pool - later Maria Laah.
However, the name comes from "Lohe Loch", which means "the situation in the forest".

On the western exterior of the church there is a crypt in which the Princes Auersperg, owners of Losensteinleithen Castle, found their final resting place. When the hall above was renovated in 1892, the crypt was also examined and 18 simple wooden coffins were found there. On the side walls of the crypt there are three memorial plaques commemorating "Maria Josefa Princess of Auersperg", "Aglae Adelheid Pauline Countess of Windischgrätz" and "Marie Franziska Scheldon, Imperial Countess of Daun, née Princess of Auersperg".
