    When the Blackpool Tower opened in 1894, it was the tallest man-made structure in the British Empire, measuring 518 feet (158 meters) in height. Designed by Lancashire architects James Maxwell and Charles Tuke, the tower is inspired by the Eiffel Tower. When the tower first opened, visitors paid sixpence to ride the lift to the top.

    Today, you can expect to pay a little more with online tickets for adults costing £23. The tower has lots of attractions including a circus, ballroom, tower eye, dungeon. Opening times vary depending on the day. You can find mor information and tickets, here: theblackpooltower.com
