Copán is an extremely well-preserved and well-developed Mayan site.
Especially the stelae and inscriptions are impressive.
If you are lucky, even red macaws fly through the temples and pyramids - that's almost too cheesy!
The area is not so crowded and you can enjoy everything in peace.
The museum at the entrance should also be visited.
Definitely worth a visit.
