The cemetery chapel of St. Gertrude in Ośnie Lubuski is an exceptionally valuable example of Gothic architecture in a consistent, unchanged form.
The chapel was built outside the city walls in the Frankfurt suburbs in the 15th century as part of the hospital complex. During the Reformation it was taken over by Protestants. The surrounding cemetery served as the main urban necropolis from the 18th century. Currently the chapel remains in common property, the cemetery is closed.

The history of the chapel dates back to the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, when a hospital was built outside the city walls. A small church was also built along with the hospital. It was probably a half-timbered structure, which, due to its poor technical condition, was rebuilt in brick in the 15th century. In the 18th century, a cemetery was built next to the church, and since then the church has served as a cemetery chapel.
