Here you can also see the course of history in the size dimensions: back then (actually not that long ago) a large building and today almost disappeared between the skyscrapers. But the distance all around preserves the structure's dignity.

The Old State House was built in 1713, making it the oldest standing public building in Boston. It was the seat of government of Massachusetts until 1798 and later served as the Boston City Hall. Today it is a local museum.
