"If you want to measure me, I will eat you." According to legend, Titisee is supposed to call out to anyone who wants to measure him. So he was for a long time considered immensely deep. Until somebody survived it and found out that the lake is only about 20 meters deep. Maybe that's the way saga number two has done, according to which come from the infinite depths of the lake, the small children. Because of rattle stork. But that did not turn out to be completely true. What remained is the name of the lake: "Titi" could have come from the Alemannic word for toddler "Teti". But it could also be that the Roman general Titus has something to do with it.

But finally to the facts. The lake is located at 840 meters altitude on the eastern slope of Feldberg and is a popular tourist destination. If you fancy a bit of hustle and bustle combined with great scenery and a stop at one of the many beer gardens, here is the opportunity.
