The cycle touring route, about 45 km long, runs mostly on a dirt road and almost exclusively along the Tagliamento embankment (from Bibione to Villanova della Cartera, passing through the towns of Bevazzana, Marinella, Cesarolo, San Filippo, San Michele al Tagliamento, San Giorgio al Tagliamento, Pozzi , San Mauretto, San Mauro and Malafesta) and on country roads (from Malafesta to Alvisopoli). The route can be completed by bike in about three hours and leads through a varied landscape shaped by water and other natural elements: the Adriatic Sea, beaches and fossil dunes, the pine forest with rare flowers and wild shrubs, the river meadows with their rich flora and fauna, and the colorful rural idyll with orchards and small forests. There are several points of interest along the route: in the municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento, the Punta Tagliamento lighthouse (Bibione), the ruins of Villa Mocenigo, now Biaggini-Ivancich (destroyed during World War II), the Cold War bunker, the Austro-Hungarian military cemetery, the Wall of History (with war relics and plaques on the history of the area) and the Villanova della Cartera paper mill from the Serenissima period. In the municipality of Teglio Veneto, it is worth visiting the Prati delle Pars, an area of great historical and ecological interest, while in Fossalta di Portogruaro, the Venetian Villa Mocenigo in the hamlet of Alvisopoli, at the end of the route and near a wooded area of naturalistic interest, is worth seeing .
