The Guttenberg
Stone formation on Guttenberg
Highest point: 855 meters above sea level
Location: West of Kleinnondorf
View: Upper Kamptal to Weitra, Ötscher, Schneeberg, Rax
View from Guttenberg The Guttenberg is a sight in three respects. The highest point in the market town of Grafenschlag. The shell stones typical of granite are located on a steeply rising hill in a particularly striking shape. The Guttenberg was once the site of a small defense structure and finally a number of legends entwine around this area, which can therefore also be addressed as a mythical site.
The Guttenberg is in the Katestralgemeinde Wielands.
Again and again, the excellent view from Guttenberg, whose western slope is covered with forests, is particularly emphasized. From here you can see over the entire Waldviertel, when the air is clear you can see as far as Ötscher, Schneeberg and Rax.
